Stephen is a Trainee Solicitor, spending his first seat with the Employment & Litigation team in Exeter. He acts on a broad range of matters such as intellectual property (IP) law, data protection and property litigation and is often your first point of call when you make an enquiry to the team.

His IP practice focuses on trade marks and design work and his data protection work focuses on data breaches and policy work. He also acts on a broad range of contentious property matters, including commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes, adverse possession, boundary and right of way issues and enforcement of covenants.

Clients can expect a professional and practical approach from Stephen. He is committed to resolving disputes in a commercially sensible manner, assessing what is best for the client and helping clients engage in alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to starting his Training Contract, Stephen worked as a Paralegal at another South West-based firm in the Real Estate team. His background in property law helps him navigate disputes and provide an excellent service.

Stephen holds a first-class honours degree in Law from the University of Plymouth and recently completed his LPC LLM in Professional Legal Practice. During his time at university, Stephen volunteered at the University of Plymouth Law Clinic – a pro bono legal advice centre where he provided legal aid to clients regarding employment law matters.

In his spare time Stephen enjoys travelling, going to the gym and attending classic car events.
