Tony leads the Care Team in Newton Abbot and specialises in representing either children on instructions from their Guardian, parents or grandparents within care proceedings issued by the Local Authority.

Tony like many of his colleagues conducts almost all of his own advocacy thereby ensuring continuity of representation at each Court hearing.

Tony has over 30 years of experience in dealing with Family Law matters and also represents children and parents within Private Law family disputes.

Tony has represented both children, parents and grandparents in cases where children have suffered serious injuries and where there has been extensive medical evidence obtained and where the Court has had to try and determine how the injuries were caused at a Fact-Finding Hearing.

Tony is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and has been now for more than 20 years. He was recognised in the 2023 Legal 500 directory as the Leader of the Tier 3 ranked family team and as “a confident and persuasive advocate with a detailed knowledge of his cases.”

Tony qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

  • “I understand what a difficult time it is for families who find themselves involved in care proceedings and the importance of parents and children being properly represented when such important decisions are being made about the future of that family and whether or not children can remain in the care of their parents. I try my best to represent our clients at each and every hearing so as to provide continuity to the clients, so that the best outcome can be achieved for the client.”
