Data Breach at Legal Aid Agency (‘LAA’) – Need to be alert

The LAA have today (19.5.25) urged all members of the public who have applied for legal aid since 2010 to safeguard themselves. It is recommended individuals are alert for any suspicious activity such as unknown messages or phone calls and to be extra vigilant to update any potential exposed passwords.

The LAA have added if a member of the public is in doubt about anyone they are communicating with online or over the phone they should independently verify the identity of that other individual before providing any information to them.
