Tozers Expands Chambers & Partners Recognition with Two New Practice Area Rankings

Tozers LLP has achieved new and improved recognition in the Chambers & Partners 2027 UK rankings, with Charities and Planning entering the directory for the first time and the firm’s Corporate and Commercial team moving up to Band 1.

The latest results recognise Tozers across seven practice areas, alongside individual recognition for lawyers across the firm.

Two new practice areas enter the rankings

For the first time, Tozers’ Charities and Planning & Environment teams have been ranked by Chambers and Partners.

The Charities team has entered the UK-wide rankings at Band 4, with James Evans also moving from Band 3 to Band 2 in the individual rankings.

The new Planning & Environment ranking sees the team enter at Band 4. Hanna Virta has been ranked in Band 3 individually, while Kelly Burns is recognised as an Associate to Watch.

The new rankings reflect the breadth of specialist expertise available across Tozers and the work of teams advising clients in these areas.

Corporate and Commercial reaches Band 1

The Corporate and Commercial team has moved up from Band 2 to Band 1, marking a significant step in its Chambers ranking.

James Orpin and Amy Laver have also both moved up to Band 1 individually.

Continued recognition across Tozers

Tozers’ Medical Negligence team has retained its Band 1 ranking. Endurance Arthur and Clair Hemming are both ranked in Band 1, while Simon Mansfield is ranked in Band 2 and Michelle Beckett is recognised as an Associate to Watch.

Kate Stone has also received individual recognition for the first time, ranked in Band 4.

The Employment team has maintained its Band 4 ranking, with Stephen Jennings and Joanna Parry both receiving individual rankings for the first time.

The Family team remains in Band 4, with Caroline Ryan continuing to be ranked in Band 2 and Aimee Aspinall recognised as an Associate to Watch.

The Social Housing team has also retained its Band 3 ranking, with Stephen Burtchaell and Rachel Langley both recognised in Band 3.

Recognition for teams and individuals

The 2027 results highlight both the continued strength of Tozers’ established teams and the growing recognition of its specialist expertise in areas including Charities and Planning & Environment.

Chambers and Partners' rankings are based on independent research, including feedback from clients and legal professionals.

Paul Kelly, Managing Partner at Tozers, said:

“It is particularly pleasing to see our Charities and Planning & Environment teams recognised by Chambers for the first time, alongside the Corporate and Commercial team’s move to Band 1. We are also proud to see colleagues across the firm receive new and continued individual recognition.”
