Tozers Celebrates Promotions for Fiona Wadey and Jessica Whittick

We're delighted to announce the promotions of Fiona Wadey to Partner and Jessica Whittick to Associate, recognising their expertise, commitment to clients and the valuable contribution they make to our firm.

Fiona Wadey promoted to Partner

We're delighted to announce Fiona's promotion to Partner in our Family team.  Before joining Tozers in 2023, Fiona was a Shareholder Director at a boutique family law firm, bringing with her a wealth of experience advising clients on complex family finance matters.

Since joining us, she has embraced life at Tozers, becoming an integral member of the team, building relationships with both clients and colleagues.

With nearly 20 years' experience in family law, Fiona is recognised for her expertise in divorce and complex financial remedy matters, particularly those involving businesses, pensions and high-value assets. She is a supervisor within the Family team and offers advice to high-net-worth clients seeking clear, pragmatic guidance on protecting their financial interests.

Beyond her legal work, Fiona is a familiar face at networking events across the South West and is an active member of the wider Tozers community. She has taken part in three LawNet Challenge fundraising events, tackling walks in both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, and now represents the firm at charity golf days.

Fiona's commitment to achieving the best outcomes for her clients is reflected in the feedback she regularly receives:

Jessica Whittick promoted to Associate

Jessica's promotion to Associate marks another exciting milestone in her Tozers journey. Having joined us as a trainee solicitor in 2021 before qualifying in 2023, she has quickly established herself as a specialist in Intellectual Property and Data Protection.

Jessica has played a key role in developing our Intellectual Property and Data Protection offering, helping to establish dedicated specialist services that support businesses with everything from trade mark protection and brand disputes to complex data protection and regulatory issues. Her practical, commercially focused advice has earned the trust of clients and colleagues alike.

Jessica was Highly Commended in the Solicitor of the Year category at the Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Legal Awards. As not every category included a Highly Commended accolade, the recognition highlighted just how competitive the category was and reflected the significant impact she has made early in her career.

Beyond her client work, Jessica is passionate about giving back to the community. She is a founding member of our ED&I Network, mentors aspiring lawyers through the Pathways to Law programme and has been instrumental in our partnership with Hospiscare, helping raise more than £14,000 through fundraising initiatives over the past three years.
