Tozers’ Charlie Johansen shortlisted for LawNet Early Career Lawyer of the Year Award
Posted on in Commercial Property, Real Estate
Charlie Johansen has been named as a finalist for the Early Career Lawyer of the Year Award at the LawNet Awards 2026.
Charlie joined Tozers shortly after qualifying in September 2025. He is now part of Tozers’ Real Estate team and on a wide range of commercial property matters, while also supporting the Corporate team on the property aspects of larger corporate transactions.
Since joining Tozers, Charlie has played an active role both within the firm and across the wider legal community. Alongside his legal work, he has taken on a number of responsibilities including supporting the Junior Lawyers Division (JLD), helping to organise initiatives for junior colleagues and contributing to careers outreach with local schools and universities. He has supported events designed to help aspiring lawyers understand the profession and has taken part in mentoring and careers activities with students.
Charlie has also been involved in fundraising and community initiatives, including Tozers’ participation in the FORCE Cancer Charity football tournament.
His nomination also recognises his contribution to developing the firm’s junior talent, supporting colleagues and helping to strengthen connections between Tozers and the wider legal community.
Tracyann Tweedie, Partner and Head of Real Estate at Tozers, said:
“Charlie’s enthusiasm for continuing professional development is refreshing and inspiring. His legal knowledge is already strong, but he is always keen to learn more about new work types and points of law. For that reason, he is a joy to supervise because our discussions about his matters often turn into wider discussions about updates in our practice area where we both learn something!
Charlie is passionate about bringing others into the profession and supporting aspiring lawyers by giving talks to colleges and universities, and getting involved with Tozers’ work experience programs. It’s a joy to have him in my department and I look forward to watching his career soar.”
Tozers would like to thank the LawNet Awards judging panel for recognising Charlie’s contribution and for selecting him as a finalist for this year’s Early Career Lawyer of the Year Award.
The LawNet Awards recognise achievement across LawNet’s network of independent law firms, with the winners to be announced at the LawNet Annual Conference and Awards in November.
