Conveyancing Paralegal

Our New Homes team works with plot sales for housebuilders; purchases of newbuild properties for individual clients and is on the panel of recommended solicitors for regional and national developers.  Under our lawyers’ direction, you will be focussed on ensuring that clients have the information they need and are assisted on their journey to buy what is often their first home. 

What you’ll be doing

You will be opening client files, preparing standard form contract documentation, checking client ID, dealing with client enquires and providing progress reports to developers, assisting lawyers with exchange of contracts and completion, preparing and filing Stamp Duty returns, attending to registration of title and closing and archiving files on completion of matters.

What we’re looking for

You will be very well organised and will enjoy working as part of a busy team.  You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude and will be happy to adapt to the requirements of the tasks facing you.  Ideally you will be able to demonstrate your problem-solving skills and how you have used these in your previous positions. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate with an interest in property and development work.

This role will require the successful candidate to be in our Exeter office 5 days a week.

What you’ll have

Previous experience in a property role would be desirable but is not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate.  You will have good IT and organisation skills and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines. You will need to be a confident communicator.
