  • LOCATION: Exeter
  • FLEXIBLE/REMOTE: No

Tozers LLP is a leading firm of solicitors with offices in Exeter, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot offering an extensive legal service to businesses and individuals both locally and nationally.  We are recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK legal directories in a number of fields.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for managing the firm’s facilities and health, safety and security, across our three offices.  Reporting to our Operations Partner and working with two facilities assistants, no one day will be the same as your team ensures that our offices are prepared for the working day.  For example, you will arrange for contractors to carry out work appropriately and cost effectively, that supplies are procured and that our alarm systems are maintained.

Health and safety will also be an important part of your role.  From ensuring that all new colleagues have an appropriate health and safety induction to carrying out annual risk assessments you will manage this function day to day with the support of the facilities assistants.

What we’re looking for

As well as being a capable organiser, you will also be skilled at communicating with everyone across the firm and outside the firm in all appropriate formats.  There will be a requirement for you to travel to each of our offices on a regular basis.  You will have a can-do approach to fulfilling your role and will be able to react appropriately to unexpected issues which can arise from time to time.

What you’ll have

You may have had some previous facilities management experience and be familiar with office health and safety.  You will also have had some experience of line management.

What we have

We believe that our people are our most important asset, and are committed to supporting our teams, cultivating a healthy culture of challenge and expectation with support and care. We invest in our teams and our infrastructure to ensure that we attract and retain talented staff, and are committed to giving all colleagues the opportunity to reach their full potential, with a real focus on training and development.
