Tozers shortlisted in DASLS awards

We are very proud of four individuals from Tozers who have been shortlisted in the 2020 Devon and Somerset Law Society Legal Awards. With just over 2 months to go until the awards evening, we thought it would be good to find out a bit more about each person:

Melanie Burton LightMelanie Burton: Shortlisted for Chartered Legal Executive of the Year

Melanie joined Tozers in 2007 and became a partner at the firm in 2018, reflecting her hard work and dedication as part of our award winning holiday and residential parks team. She has built up a strong reputation amongst her peers, providing guidance at industry specific events across the country.

Outside of work Melanie is keen on women’s football and is an active supporter at a county level.

Aimee Aspinall LightAimee Aspinall: Shortlisted for Rising Star

Originally starting as a paralegal in our family team in 2015, Aimee’s colleagues quickly recognised her ability and supported her in ongoing training to become a Chartered Legal Executive.

Aimee specialises in divorce, separation and financial agreements such as cohabitation agreements as well as financial consent orders on divorce. She receives great client feedback and inspires colleagues with her engagement with topical issues on social media.

Rebecca Pleece LightRebecca Pleece: Shortlisted for Support Team Member of the Year

Rebecca is a conveyancing assistant in the holiday and residential parks team. Assisting with the transactional strand of the team, often dealing with complex and multi-million-pound deals, she works for and with a number of parks team members ensuring that every transaction runs as smoothly as possible.

Always happy to help, Rebecca goes the extra mile to ensure that queries are answered no matter how busy she is. Her team admire her attitude to work and her efficiency.

Tina BuckleyTina Buckley: Shortlisted for Support Team Member of the Year

Receptionist in our Newton Abbot office, Tina is an invaluable member of the team with her enthusiasm and energy. She goes well beyond what is expected of her job role, which helps the day to day running of the office to become more efficient. She shows a great deal of compassion when speaking to emotionally vulnerable clients on the phone.

Tina was also instrumental when we expanded our level of services available at our Newton Abbot office, and is always happy to help colleagues.

All the best to those who have been shortlisted in this year’s DASLS awards – we look forward to having a great evening with you all in April and celebrating our fantastic legal community!
